Refunds & Cancellation Policy

14-day refund period

You have 14 days from purchase to request a full refund, unless the service has been activated (see below). Activation is what changes the position, because digital services that have already been performed cannot be un-performed.

What counts as activation

Your purchase is activated the first time you run an AI generation. That includes:

• extracting themes from raw material;
• generating an outline or story bible;
• drafting or rewriting a chapter or section;
• running style, polish or refinement checks;
• transcribing a Voice DNA interview or using text-to-speech;
• any other AI-powered feature.

Uploading material, typing notes, browsing the app or exploring your dashboard does not activate your purchase.

One Book Pass (one-off purchase)

• Refundable: within 14 days of purchase, if no AI generation has occurred.
• Activated on: your first AI generation.
• After activation: non-refundable — the service has been performed.
• Refund requests must be made before any generation. You can self-refund from the billing page while your pass is still unactivated.

Subscription (monthly or annual)

• Free trial: cancel before the trial ends and you are never charged.
• Refundable: within 14 days of your first payment, if no AI generation has occurred in that period.
• Activated on: your first AI generation in the current billing period.
• After activation: the current month or year is non-refundable. You can cancel at any time to stop future charges.
• Monthly cancellations take effect at the end of the current month; annual cancellations at the end of the current year. You keep access until then.

Before generation = fully refundable

If you have not used any AI feature yet, you can get a full refund up to 14 days after purchase, no questions asked.

How to request a refund

Email jojo@rebelafbooks.com with your order ID, purchase date and reason. We will confirm receipt and process approved refunds within 14 days, back to your original payment method.

Refunds after activation (exceptional cases)

If there is a technical error, a service failure, or we breach our commitments to you — for example if your content were ever used for AI training — we will consider a refund even after activation. Email us with the details.

Your statutory rights

Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. By starting a generation within the 14-day cancellation period you expressly request immediate supply of the digital service and acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once it has been fully performed. Business purchases are not covered by consumer cancellation rights.
