Your content is yours

You own everything you create on REBEL AF Books, including notes, themes, outlines, drafts, edits and voice recordings. We do not claim ownership of your work, and we do not use it to train AI models.

How AI is used

REBEL AF Books uses AI to help you structure and write your book in your own voice. We send your content to the Lovable AI Gateway, which routes requests to providers such as Google (Gemini) and OpenAI. Based on these providers' published API terms, content sent via API is not used to train their models.

We log every AI request we make on your behalf, including the purpose (for example, "extract themes" or "draft chapter"), the provider and the model used. We keep these logs so we can review and explain what happened if you ever ask.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your content or personal data.
• We do not use your manuscript, voice recordings or transcripts to train or improve AI models.
• We do not allow other users or the public to see your projects unless you choose to share them.
• We do not keep your content longer than necessary. When you delete your account, your content is removed within 30 days.

Security controls

Your data is stored in a Supabase-backed database protected by row-level security, which means each account can only access its own content. Data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Access to service secrets is limited to the server side, and we never expose them in the browser.

Voice recordings

The Voice DNA interview records your answers so they can be transcribed. Your audio is streamed to the transcription service and is not saved to our database or file storage - we keep only the text transcript.

Your transcript is used solely to build your own Voice DNA profile and to guide drafts of your own book. We do not use recordings or transcripts to train AI models, and we do not share them with other users.

You can delete your Voice DNA profile and every interview transcript at any time from the Voice DNA page inside the app. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

What we are still working on

We are working to obtain a formal Data Processing Addendum from Lovable with explicit no-training and minimal-retention terms. We will update this page and our Privacy Policy once that agreement is in place.
